Located in Mazzurega, at an altitude of 415 m a.s.l., this old, fairly recently renovated holding overlooks the valleys of the Valpolicella Classica. It covers an area of approx. 3,5 hectares and is favourably exposed to the southeast.

History

Newly planted with Guyot training in the early 2000s, it has a plant density of 4,540 vines/ha. Since 2011, the carefully selected best bunches in this vineyard are dedicated exclusively to the production of Amarone Classico Riserva Fieramonte DOCG.

The vines

The varieties planted are Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella and Oseleta. The soil is clayey-calcareous, very deep and is highly resistant to periods of drought, yielding grapes with interesting indices of ripeness.

Awards

The Amarone Classico Riserva Fieramonte DOCG, with the vintages 2015 and 2016, has received for two consecutive years 100 points from Decanter the prestigious English publication recognized worldwide as an authoritative source on wine. Already in 2019 Fieramonte was awarded with the Best Red of the Year 2019 by the British magazine Decanter.
