This 10-hectare, Guyot-trained vineyard, planted between 2016 and 2017 is located in the middle of lush woods at 450 m a.s.l. The varieties planted are Corvina Veronese, Corvinone and Rondinella.

This vineyard is part of a project to redevelop a former industrial mining area in the Valpolicella Classica area, an issue very dear to the Allegrini family. As Marilisa Allegrini often says: “We are primarily responsible for the beauty of our lands”.

The selection of grapes

The parcel is located between the municipalities of Fumane and Marano, within Valpolicella’s Nature Reserve (Parco Naturalistico della Valpolicella) and is a basin that overlooks the Lessini mountains and the Valle dei Progni.

Most of the grapes at Marezzane are harvested in crates, that is, they make up the selection of the best grapes intended for appassimento and Amarone.
