The Arena of Verona<br/>LET THE FESTIVAL BEGIN!

The Arena of Verona

The Arena season 2019, scheduled from 21st June to 7th September, looks to be one of the most important and magical in the last few years. 5 Operas are on the bill: La Traviata directed by the late Maestro Zeffirelli, Aida, Il Trovatore, Carmen and Tosca, plus numerous other events such as a performance of Carmina Burana, an evening dedicated to Placido Domingo and one featuring the spectacular dancer Roberto Bolle. The festival begins on Friday 21st July with the extraordinary participation of the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella. To see the Arena and Verona - the city of music and love, par excellence - and experience Opera of the highest quality in this quintessentially popular context, is an opportunity coveted by international guests who flock to Verona for the overwhelming thrills and emotions the city has to offer. We are therefore pleased to suggest staying in the Art and Wine Relais at the 16th-century Renaissance-era Villa Della Torre in the heart of the Valpolicella Classica, a few kilometres from Verona and Lake Garda, where amidst the Renaissance art of Giulio Romano and the beauty of the Amarone vineyards, lovers of music and wine will be welcomed by the hospitable hostess Marilisa Allegrini and her friendly, efficient and expert staff.
