by James Suckling

San Polo’s Brunello D.O.C.G. 2013, which is currently being presented at the American preview (in Chicago and New York) and will be showcased at the ‘Benvenuto Brunello’ event in Montalcino from 16th February, is making its debut with a record rating. Following a blind tasting involving some 130 samples, James Suckling has awarded 96 points to San Polo’s flagship wine.
Here’s the complete review by one of the most authoritative wine critics in the world: "Aromas of plum, dried meat, flowers and figs. Full body, velvety and chewy tannins. So much fruit and intensity. I love the generous fruit and form to this wine."
