‘spoiler’ at Villa Della Torre

The fourth edition of 'Aspettando La Corsa più Bella del Mondo' (Awaiting the Most Beautiful Race in the World) is due to start from San Zeno in the city of Verona. 62 vintage cars will be taking part in the regularity classic car competition to be held on Sunday 13th May in Verona and province, divided into two categories: the Nicolis Trophy for vehicles from 1927 to 1957 and the Memorial Cabianca for cars from 1958 to 1981. Among the participants there will also be 22 foreign crews from the United States, Japan, Argentina, France and Germany. To open the event, which precedes the 2018 Mille Miglia, there will be a tribute to Ferrari, with about forty models. In total 64 time trials will be set along the route.
The route starts at 10.30 am in Piazza Corrubbio, with competitors facing the first tests at one hundredth of a second heading towards Valpolicella. After passing through Negrar and making a brief stop, the cars are due to stop off at Villa Della Torre Allegrini for lunch. In the afternoon the vehicles will proceed to Villafranca, where other technical trials will be made, and then speed off to Borghetto, crossing the Visconti bridge, which will also be crossed by the Mille Miglia on Wednesday, 16th May. The final stage will be the Nicolis Museum, with cars arriving at 4.30 pm for the award ceremony.
